Overview
Statice’s Seraph (Coated Version) is a premium glass surface built for players who want maximum speed with a predictable glide profile. It arrives as a refined take on the modern glasspad formula, focusing on uniform coating quality, consistent friction values, and a stable base that keeps the pad completely planted during use. The intent is clear: deliver a fast, low‑effort glide that still supports micro‑adjustment without the instability seen in some ultra‑smooth glass surfaces.
Design and Construction
The Seraph Coated presents as a clean, low profile pad. Edges are chamfered evenly with no noticeable variance along the perimeter. The coating is uniform across the entire surface, with no visible streaking or patchiness under light. Thickness of glass and base is 2.5mm on my unit, and the base provides reliable grip on my desk.
Surface Behaviour
The coated surface delivers low static friction, allowing the mouse to move with minimal initial effort. Dynamic friction remains consistent across long movements, giving the pad a stable speed profile rather than a runaway glide. The microtexture is very subtle and does not introduce graininess. Hand temperature has little influence on glide, and the coating resists moisture well. Environmental changes do not noticeably alter the pad’s behaviour.
In Game Performance
Tracking feels stable and effortless, with minimal resistance during fluid movements. Reactive tracking benefits from the pad’s low static friction, enabling quick directional changes. Micro correction is reliable thanks to the coating’s consistent friction profile. In titles like Overwatch, the pad’s speed helps with rapid directional changes and wide tracking. Aim trainers show consistent glide values across different scenarios, with no jitter or unexpected grains of texture. The pad feels simply dependable.
Conclusion
The Statice Seraph Coated is a well executed glasspad that combines speed with proper smoothness. It is both the fastest and smoothest glasspad that I have used as of yet, and I am all for it! Keep up the great work Statice, I am very excited for the future releases!
